I am a Registered Nurse Case Manager with a focus on lung and head & neck cancers. I am passionate about helping others going through the hardest moments in their lives. Being present, listening, and getting to know my patients is what truly brings me joy.  I’m also a soon to be mama and ecstatic about this next journey! 

I am beyond excited to be here sharing ideas to help you live your best life. I value learning about the path to living mindfully, experiencing life in the present through the practice of meditation, the impact one’s thoughts have on physical symptoms, the learned skills of happiness, and the connection between the gut and mind. 

I enjoy being organized and efficient, especially in the kitchen. In my free time you’ll find me traveling, reading, hiking, hanging with my hubby, drinking coffee, working out and watching a good comic relief show. 

We all know life moves quick, but it’s too beautiful to always be living in fast forward and missing out on the details. I hope you’ll join me on this journey to a clear mind, healthy gut, fresh eyes and open heart.

Wife. Mom of 2 under 3. Speech Pathologist. 

I am a mom blessed with 2 children and work as a Speech-Language Pathologist.  My passion for living a healthy lifestyle began in college when I realized the benefits for improving self-confidence and symptoms of anxiety.  This passion turned into one of my main priorities after my daughter was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease known as Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis. 

I believe good health and wellness should be achievable for all, especially busy parents and kids of all ages.  Many of us live a fast-paced busy life, and can only prioritize a few things at 100%.  Because maintaining a healthy lifestyle for me and my family is my main priority, I have set out to find ways to achieve it efficiently, so I don’t miss out on family time and hobbies.  My goal is to share what has worked for me so I can help you achieve healthy living no matter how busy you are.  Your body, mind and spirit will truly thank you in the long-run.  

Many of you mamas and soon-to-be mamas also know how tough pregnancy and postpartum recovery can be on the body and mind, and how it can affect your self-esteem and identity. With my love for fitness and living mindfully, my goal is to empower women through fitness and meditation during the life-changing transition to mom-hood and beyond.

In my free-time you can find me at the gym, going on adventures with my husband and kids, jamming out to Avicii, and watching the sunset at the beach.

OUR MISSION

 1. Healthy living should be achievable for all.  Everyone is busy in their unique way.  Whether you are working long hours, a stay at home parent, have a strict deadline, have too much on your plate – no matter how busy life can be, “busy” should not be an excuse to sacrifice living a healthy lifestyle.  At UpBeet Sisters we value providing recipes that are quick to make, short on ingredients, easy to follow for the rookie chef, and delicious. Eating healthy should not mean skipping out your hobbies and family to spend hours in the kitchen. 

2. Every “body” is different.  On our site you will find a wide range of recipes with a focus on clean ingredients.  Whether you are into Whole-30, Paleo, vegetarian, gluten-free, or on the road to eating healthy, we hope you find something that works for you. We are not big proponents of strict dieting, however you will be able to find specific recipes that cater to various types of clean eating.

3.  Moderation is key.  We strongly believe living a healthy lifestyle is a journey not a destination.  While our recipes have a healthy focus, we also believe that you should be able to indulge in foods that make your heart happy and not feel guilty.  This is super important for building a positive relationship with food and something we take very seriously.  Make the brownie recipe, enjoy it, and don’t think twice. 

4. Fitness is a way of life.  Exercise has so many health benefits.  Some type of movement should truly be incorporated into our daily routine every single day, without it feeling like a chore.  On our site you will find quick and effective workouts that are easy to follow and can easily fit into your busy lifestyle.  We provide workouts for the beginner, intermediate, and advanced athlete.  Our goal and dream is to help you see the benefits of exercise which will result in you wanting to keep coming back for more.

 5.  Take time to meditate. We are all living in some form of “hustle and bustle,” leaving us feeling like we don’t even have five minutes to ourselves.  Isn’t that something?  24 hours in a day, and it is often difficult to find 5 minutes to sit down and “just breathe”.  We believe meditation and mindfulness practice is crucial to help reduce stress and anxiety and increase positive thinking.   At UpBeet Sisters we will provide you with tools to cultivate mindfulness and meditation practice to help you live in the present moment and approach life’s challenges with a clear, calm, positive and assertive mind.
